The committee for 2008-9 was formally elected at the AGM on 1 May, with very little change in membership. Steve Bowden has left the committee but no additional nominations were received and so there are no new additions to the committee. As a result, the number of committee members is looking a little bare, with only five of the possible eight positions filled.

The committee are therefore looking for members to be considered for co-option onto the committee to help for the new season. Any members interested are asked to contact a member of the committee.

For the final meeting of the season, Eccles RA holds it's Annual General Meeting on Thursday 1 May. With Secretary Ken Goldstrong's comprehensive review of the season, the signing off of the books and the array of awards and rewards on offer, it's a meeting to look forward to.

Subscriptions for the 2008-9 season are due by 1 April 2008. The membership and insurance of joining the national Referees Association of England has increased this year but Eccles RA's rate has remained the same.
